Students for Life at St. Louis University welcomes Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to speak on "How can the Dream Survive?" This talk collates her uncle's profound influence on the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s with the current pro-life movement. Dr. Alveda King is a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serves as the director of African American Outreach for the Gospel of Life, headed up by Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life. She is a former college professor, author of several best selling books, a former member of the Georgia State House of Representatives, a mother of 6 children, and a grandmother. Dr. King, herself a post-abortive African-American woman, has worked as a civil rights activist and continues to be a very influential pro-life leader.

The Respect Life Apostolate of St. Louis will be hosting a reception following the event. Free refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcomed to join!
